2010 Vocational Award For Source Cafe
Every year Farnborough Rotary club awards a group or individual a vocational award. This year it was awarded to the Source Cafe in Aldershot. Started in 2000 by youth worker Jo Emmett in response to the needs of local vulnerably-housed or homeless youths, The Source worked with local churches, voluntary groups and statutory agencies to establish a youth cafe’, offering a safe space free from drugs and alcohol for young people to meet in the evenings.
