Its fast approaching,  one of the biggest local events in Farnborough. On Monday 26th May the traditionally English event of racing donkeys over 100 yards ridden by 10 year old children screaming with fright and delight is coming. Clock Unveiling In Farnborough Video

We recently unveiled the new clock in Farnborough’s Queensmead shopping centre. The Mayor was in attendance along with around 25-30 rotary members and their wives and partners. All was going well and we were going to record the speeches at the unveiling, when…. the video stopped and we couln’t get that cruicial moment on tape…sorry. 11 members of Farnborough Rotary Club and two guests enjoyed a great day out yesterday. The weather was glorious when our first player, Rotarian Dave Thomas, stepped up to the first tee at just after 9am. The weather remained fantastic and the course was in reasonable condition. Farnborough Rotary club is out of the annual district badminton competition. Sean Usher and Jim Thomson from Farnborough played John Dumbrell and Karen Sutton from the Shepperton Aurora club. Shepperton Aurora beat Farnborough A 2-0 (21-19, 21-15). Last night our club joined forces with the Blackwater Valley Rotary club at the Holiday Inn Farnborough, to hear a very motivating and inspirational talk given by Helene Raynsford, the young paralympian who has achieved so much in the last 8 years. Helene spoke about her illness that left her disabled whilst at university, the challenges she faced up to, on the way to becoming a gold medal winner and she gave us a blow by blow account of how she was feeling as she won the gold medal race. ...
