The recent Picnic To Music In The Park, organised by Farnborough Rotary club has been hailed a huge success.

The two evening event which took place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of July at  the King George V playing fields, saw crowds of up to 5,000 on the Saturday and 4,000 on the Sunday.

The chairman of the organising committee John Batty said “We are really happy that the event was such a big success, in fact this is probably our best event so far in terms of raising funds for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. We believe we have raised around £60,000, although not all the figures are in yet, but the signs are good”.

The event has been running since 2001 and is held every two years.
