Our new Christmas float has arrived and already it has been circulating on the streets of Farnborough.

The float plays an important part in our fundraising efforts as it is the focal point for many of our outdoor activities in December.

Its first sighting was at the Waitrose supermarket in Frimley on Saturday and then in Farnborough town centre during the day on Sunday 2nd December, before finally hitting the road for its first street collection on Sunday night.

It is with great thanks to Frank Yuen from Wings and his son-in-law Darren, along with his team at Bubinga Furniture in Farnham and Douglas Bewley, a former rotarian that we can show off this new float. Of course there was a committee (there’s always a committee for these kind of projects), headed by John Grenham.

But our old float served us well as it travelled the streets of Farnborough, criss crossing its way to greet another house full of excited children
