Burns Night For Farnborough Rotary Club

On Saturday 23rd January  Farnborough Rotary Club held a Burns Night. It was a great success with nearly 80 people attending. I made a video of some of the “dancing” but dare not show it for fear of being sued by members worried about their image. Oh alright then!!! Also I took some photos too… A great night and we raised over £1600 Thanks to all who came, especially Sue Evans, Liz Howarth and Pam Minnet for all the cooking of the Neaps, tatties and other delicacies...

We’re going to be celebrating Burns night this year with a Burn’s party. Organised by Rotarians Jim Thompson and Mike Evans, its going to be heldon Saturday 23rd Jan 2010 at St Mark’s Church Hall, Guildford Road Farnborough at 7.00 for 7.30pm. Last night at one of our quarterly evening get-togethers we enjoyed dinner and a light hearted quiz. I have attended many a quiz in my time and they can be a little bit serious and long winded, but ours wasn’t. Farnborough Rotary Chinese Dinner Then Speed Bingo

Farnborough Rotary members got together for a great night out last night at Wings Chinese restaurant Farnborough. Almost 80 people,  members along with their wives,  girlfriends, family or just friends had a sumptuous 3 course meal followed by a game of bingo, Yes BINGO The evening was arranged by John Grenham a rotarian since 1980.  It was a charity event in aid of Rotary’s own charity called Rotary Foundation.
