Nick White the son of John Raison, who owned the Fishing Tackle Shop in Park Road, North Camp, for many years was honoured by a prominent Rotarian from the Jefferson City West Rotary Club of America Mr Nick Rackers.

Nick’s son Christopher, also a member of the Jefferson City West Rotary Club contacted the Farnborough Rotary Club earlier in the year and requested that his Father received his award by the Farnborough Rotary Club.

Nick was accompanied by his wife Denise, son Christopher and his wife Rachel, both recipients of the Paul Harris Fellow, his  Grand Children Aurelia and Elijah, Faith White and partner Jake Newton.

The presentation of Paul Harris Fellow recognition is The Rotary Foundation’s way of expressing its appreciation for a substantial contribution to its humanitarian and educational programs.

It is named after Rotary founder Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer who started Rotary International with three business associates in 1905.

Rotarians often designate a Paul Harris Fellow as a tribute to a person whose life demonstrates a shared purpose with the objectives of The Rotary Foundation.
