At a ceremony on 30 June John Marsh, President for 2015-2016, handed over to father of three Brian Fagg of Guildford Road West, Farnborough, and wished him well for a very happy and fruitful year ahead.

New President Brian Fagg with John Marsh

Brian first came to Aldershot with 2 Para and moved with his wife, Val, to their own home in 1975.  A Rotary member since 2002 Brian has spent much time in the last three years in the vital role of quartermaster for the club’s equipment.  The equipment, kept in a secure store, includes the large marquees used for Donkey Derby, Picnic to Music in the Park and similar events; games equipment used for the annual Kids Out for children with special needs, fencing and other heavy materiel.  All needs checking and servicing to keep it fit for use.

Outside Rotary he has just retired from 16 years on the Rushmoor Town Twinning Committee, serving 8 years as its chairman, serves on the committee of North Camp Matters, and is treasurer of the North Hants branch of the Royal Society of St George.  He is a keen golfer and family man, with eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
