Although it was a damp day for our annual Donkey Derby Event in Farnborough, the crowds were enthusiastic.

Over 3000 people were entertained for 5 hours, with a whole host of events.

Of course there was the Donkey Races, the Fun Dog show, Funfair, Farm animals to see and stroke, The Oak Farm Drummers, A Punch and Judy Show and of course The Beautiful Baby competition, judged by our local MP Gerald Howarth.

There were of course charity stalls and the rain didn’t curtail the dancing entertainment from Shuffles but the Jazz Band from Farmborough sixth form performed a number of tunes sheltered from the rain.

The falconry display was very popular despite the rain and after the display you were able to visit the falconry stand and get up close and personal with the birds.

There were of course visits from the local dignitaries including the Mayor the local MP and presidents of the local Rotary clubs.

Please take a look at the photos below, to get some idea of our Donkey Derby day out.
