From President Pam

“Well, what a weekend!  Dave and I arrived about 4pm on Friday but now realise that we should have got there for the 2pm start as we missed some interesting speakers.  We weren’t the only people to arrive later in the day so there is no real guilt about that!  However, we settled in and went out for a meal with the accompanying Farnborough Rotarians – Tina, Sam, John & Liz Debenham and John & Pauline Grenham, plus a fairly large group from Rushmoor Rotary.  The restaurant (Blanc) is situated in what was a Quaker meeting house, and just a very short walk from the hotel which is situated in the City Centre.
The main conference started at 9am in the hotel and proved to be a very enjoyable experience.
Farnborough Rotary Club's District Govenor 2012
Sunday morning – District Governor, Mike Thorn is on stage to thank Baroness Shreela Flather who is a champion against racism and for human rights, in particular those of women in developing nations.       Sergeant at Arms, Neil Rorie also enjoyed one of the lighter moments after her presentation!
