Rotary Members Christmas Lunch

A first taste of Christmas turkey for many members of the club today. The lunch took place at our usual venue – The Holiday Inn  Farnborough Over 35 members and their partners were served a traditional fayre of turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets and vegetable including delicious baby brussel sprouts – which I highly recommend..Followed of course by Christmas pudding. Rotary Christmas Float at Waitrose Frimley

Farnborough Rotary’s Christmas float landed at Waitrose supermarket in Frimley last Saturday. Father christmas got a great response as did the collectors. In fact Father Christmas took full advantage of the free glasses of mulled wine and mince pies that Waitrose kindly laid on for their customers A big thank you to Waitrose for allowing us to put our float out side their main entrance. 90% of all monies collected will go to local charities

Farnborough Rotary Christmas Lunch

Today we held our annual Christmas lunch. Nearly 70 People attended, giving many their first taste of Christmas. Turkey and all the trimmings, followed by Christmas pud…Lovely!!! Our President Pam, donned the the father Christmas outfit to doll out some Christmas cheer. Ice and frozen snow hs stopped our street collections for the 6th night in a row. There is disappointment at Farnborough Rotary club today because for the sixth day in a row we have had to cancel our nightly tour of the streets of Farnborough collecting money for local causes. All collectors have been asked to stand down.  The main reason that the collections have to be canceled is safety.
